Adding remote control to wired lights usually means replacing switches, not any more. With INSTEON's new dual-band Micro Dimmer Module, you can keep your existing antique, toggle or decorative wall switches while adding the customizable, dimmable remote control functionality of a SwitchLinc Dimmer. Customize your lights with a preset brightness level and ramp rate, then control it from any INSTEON controller. This compact module installs behind your existing switch, giving it full INSTEON automation while retaining local control at the switch by way of sense wires. Connect the sense wires to any style wall switch to match any type of designer theme (antique, push-button, metal, etc.) Micro Dimmer is also so small that it can be installed as an in-line module within a fixture box, providing remote control dimming without having to run wires to a wall switch. INSTEON also offers a Micro On/Off Module and a Micro Open/Close Module.

INSTEON Micro Dimmer is compatible with latching, single momentary and dual momentary switches. By default, it comes programmed for latching switches such as paddles and toggles; it is easily configured for single and dual momentary switches with a simple reprogramming procedure during installation. Due to its hidden nature, we highly recommend using a home automation controller to manage Micro Open/Close.
